Ride Descriptions


Here is a brief description of our various ride types.  

Follow the underlined menu items for specific details about each type of ride.


Road Rides –  Will cover approximately 40‐60 km at an average speed in excess of 23 km/hour.


Touring Rides –  Relaxed Touring refers to rides of normally 30 to 60 km (long rides have shorter route options) at an average riding speed of 15-27 km/hour over both flat and rolling terrain. Riders will be divided into 2 0r 3 groups with each group suitable to participants abilities.

Trail Rides – Rail Trail rides will be run on  Mondays.  The Rail Trail Ride will follow Rail Trails in the Kawartha Lakes, Peterborough & Orillia areas.  The rides will all be out and back and range in distance from 30 to 60 km.  Riders can turn around at any point in the ride.  The Rail Trail rides will be slower rides due to the nature of the terrain.  Lunch Stops will be planned on all routes.


Casual Rides – The Casual rides  held on Wednesday Evenings are  open to any club member who wants to enjoy an evening ride of 15-30 km at a leisurely pace set by the group. The Starter Ride is an ideal opportunity for potential new members to participate in the try-out-ride program.
